Recently a new cruise service has been launched that connects the Hazira port or Essar port in Surat to Diu island. The announcement of the cruise was made through a video conference by the Shipping and Waterways Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. The ferry service commenced on 31st March 2021. It leaves from Hazira port on Mondays and Wednesdays and reaches Diu island the next day, that is, Tuesdays and Thursdays in the morning. Hence, one side journey takes around 13 to 14 hours.

Hazira to Diu Cruise Ferry Service:
The Surat to Diu cruise service is quite popular these days. For kids under 8 years of age, the charges would be a 50% tariff; however, the cabin needs to be booked by the guardian. The cabin charges for a double occupancy cabin is Rs. 5000 plus taxes, including a coin of Rs.1000, which is again non-refundable.

The VIP lounge entry ticket would also give benefits like unlimited food and access to every part of the cruise. Ro Ro Ferry Surat to Diu Time Table:
The Hazira to Diu ferry service is scheduled twice a week. The cruise leaves from Hazira port in Surat on Monday and Wednesday in the evening and reaches Diu on Tuesday and Thursday in the morning. The one-sided voyage time of the cruise is around 13 to 14 hours.
The voyage time for the ferry service from Hazira to the High Sea and from the High Sea to Hazira is 12 to 13 hours. The ferry departs from Hazira at around 7 am or 8 am in the morning on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. It returns back from the High Sea the next day in the morning.

The guests traveling on the cruise would be scanned at the main gate, and the same details about the guests would be passed on to the vessel through a network. The security checking of the guests would also be carried out at the entry of the cruise or vessel.
