The only requirement is that you need to have knowledge of the basics of English, that is you should be able to read English and understand it well. The minimum age for joining Swiggy as a delivery boy is 18 years, but there is no maximum age limit. There are no interview rounds to clear as the individuals can join Swiggy immediately. This job is favorable for the students as they can work part-time and study as well. The payments are made weekly.

The new joiners have to complete a one-day training in which they need to complete around 3 to 4 deliveries in around 1 to 2 hours. Once they clear this training session, they can start working the very next day.

Swiggy doesn’t work on salary based payment system yet a delivery boy can earn Rs.25,000 to Rs.50,000 monthly. It counts the number of deliveries done by the delivery boy. The payment made to the delivery boy is calculated on the basis of three basic things that are travel pay, waiting time pay, and customer pay.

Travel Pay

The travel is divided into two sections. The first mile is the travel between the delivery boy and the restaurant. And the second mile is the travel between the restaurant and the customer’s address. Hence, the payment is calculated on the basis of time or distance. For the first mile, Swiggy pays Rs.4/km for 4kms or Rs.6/km for 4kms. If the payment is made according to the time, it pays Re.1/minute. The delivery boy is paid whichever is higher.

Waiting time pay

Sometimes, the delivery boy has to wait at the restaurant while the food is getting prepared or packed. And Swiggy pays the delivery boys for the time they wait at the restaurant. Here are the rates decided.

Customer Pay
